The Joy Of Having Clean Clothes When You Live In An Apartment
If you have ever lived in a small apartment, especially in a older building, then you wholly understand the lack of space for things like a washer and dryer.
Most of these type apartments are not only limited in space but do not have the traditional hook up for a washer and dryer. There are no water connections for the washer and no vent or plug for the clothes dryer.
And, going to your Mom’s house or the local laundry mat is a real hassle. You usually have a bunch of dirty clothes piled up waiting for the dreaded trip to get the clothes washed and dried.
When you get to the laundry mat all the washer and / or dryers may be in use and you have to wait your turn and maybe even deal with the rude person that wants to jump in front of you.
While there you can’t do much else. Maybe read a book or go outside and stand so you can talk on your phone.
For some areas there is also the concern for your own safety while going to and using the washers at the laundry mat.
Some older apartment buildings offer a common laundry mat within the building. Usually these are in the basement and also don’t offer a feeling of safety, not to mention having to lug the laundry back and forth between your apartment and the laundry room.
The advent of small portable washers has made the life of the small apartment dweller so much easier. They don’t require the traditional washer and dryer hookups or plugs. They are also compact and take very little space.
You may not do all your laundry with one of these small portable washers but you can certainly cut down on your trips to the laundry mat.
You will be able to keep things like underwear, t-shirts, jeans, towels, cloth baby diapers, toddler’s clothes, etc. clean and ready to wear.
And you won’t have to leave the comfort of your own apartment.
